There has been a rise in the number of motorhome insurance policyholders and other holidaymakers heading to Wales, it has been said.
A spokesperson for Visit Wales revealed that during the first quarter of the year, visits to the country were up from the same period of last year.
She identified that every year, high quality accommodation is opened up across Wales, which attracts yet more people to the region.
"The Ryder Cup will also be taking place on Welsh soil for the first time this October, so we have seen a rise in the number of golf visitors to the whole of Wales as a result in recent years," the expert commented.
Dame Shirley Bassey has recently been confirmed as one of the acts at Welcome to Wales, the 2010 Ryder Cup celebration concert at the Millennium Stadium later this month.
It will mark her first performance in the country for more than five years.
