Caravan insurance: Theft hotspots named
The importance of caravan insurance has been emphasised after HPI revealed the stolen vehicle hotspots of the UK.

The Midlands was named as the area most vulnerable to thefts, followed in second place by north-west England and East Anglia in third position.

"Criminals stealing vehicles and attempting to sell them on remains one of the most serious problems for used car buyers," commented Daniel Burgess, automotive director for HPI.

He added that cloning is one of the major issues, where an identity is stolen and changed to match that of a genuine vehicle.

On the HPI hotspot list, London ranked in fifth place, while Wales is situated much lower down the rankings in ninth position.

Last month, HPI unveiled the results of its top summer driving song poll, with Sweet Home Alabama taking number one position, followed by Walking on Sunshine in second.
