Continental tyres may be the best option for
motorhome insurance customers heading off on holiday this autumn, following tests by Which? magazine.
The manufacturer came out on top when compared against the test results of 17 other brands.
Continental was found to perform well in both wet and dry conditions, for both grip and handling.
Which? claimed that the manufacturer's tyres have "no major weaknesses", with the eight sizes tested all making the Best Buy grade.
The publication noted: "In the dry, Continental tyres perform very well, and wet grip is balanced and safe in a straight line or in a bend."
Commenting on the commendation, Continental brand manager Tracey Hyem said that the company was "incredible pleased".
She added: "Which? magazine considers its 'Best Buys' very carefully, putting the tyres through stringent tests so this really is an excellent result."
Motorhome owners and other drivers were warned to check their tyre pressures before setting off on journeys last month, to avoid the risk of a blow out.
Tyresafe, which offered the advice, noted that too many drivers typically experience dangerous blowouts over the August bank holiday weekend.
