More and more families are forgetting about summer holidays on the Mediterranean and choosing a caravan holiday in the UK.
According to Saja Holidays, Britain’s caravan parks have worked tireless to shake off the image that they are stuck in the 1970s and now offer entertainment which will keep the entire family occupied.
Indeed, some parks have even invested more than £1 million pounds into ensuring that they have activities which are to a top notch standard.
One such part is the Bunn Leisure complex at Selsey, West Sussex, which has recently won the coveted Holiday Park of The Year award at The Annual Beautiful South Tourism Awards 2011.
Bunn has scheduled three years of investment into developing its own sandy beach with increases sea defences at the front of the park.
Due to developments such as this, Saja holidays has recently agreed a deal which sees it now able to offer holidaymakers a trip to three of Bunn’s sites.
Steve Cooper of Saja Holidays told Easier.com: "Bunn Leisures West Sands holiday village really did tick all the boxes for the right location.
"What this mean is that Saja can offer strong value for money holiday breaks with peak season charges of only £400.00 for the week, in the knowledge that our guests know they are getting a fantastic return for their money due to the massive investments Bunn Leisure have made."
Laura Smith, destination public relations manager at VisitEngland, predicted earlier this month that the number of people holidaying at home will soar this summer.
And she stressed that the UK has a wealth of attractions to be enjoyed no matter what the weather is doing.
"From museums and galleries, to aquariums, there is a whole range of things to do to suit all ages and personalities.
"If rain has stopped a zoo visit, you could consider an aquarium or natural history museum."
