Caravan insurance customers will soon be able to ensure their vehicle is free of one less piece of clutter before they set off on their holiday - their satnav.
Ford dealers will now be offering a MirrorNavi satnav unit that fits alongside the rearview mirror.
The extended holder enables drivers to check their journey progress and next turning when they look in their rearview.
Also, Ford notes that the contraption will rid the windscreen of suction cup marks commonly left by other satnav devices, which can alert thieves to the fact that a satnav may be stored in the glove compartment.
The MirrorNavi itself features tinted and dimming mirror glass to prevent glare and allows for the display of either a 2D or 3D map.
Alternatively, TomTom has unveiled its latest addition to its satnav product range, the TomTom Via LIVE.
Designed to offer motorists a more enjoyable driving experience, it comes equipped with full voice control and hands-free call answering.
