Brits looking to holiday at home are most likely to choose the areas of Devon, the Lake District and the North York Moors, it has been claimed.
Caravan insurance customers are most likely to be attracted to these areas because they are home to some of the UK's most dramatic scenery, according to the CSMA Club.
The group's research suggests that one in four British holidaymakers are planning to take more UK breaks than they were last year.
Mark Rothery, chief executive of the CSMA Club, suggests that people who may have stayed at home for their holidays in previous years have had their eyes opened to what the UK has to offer.
He said: "[They] may well now have a greater appreciation of the beauty of the British Isles and the hospitality on offer.
"As a result we hope they'll choose to spend future holidays on home soil as well."
