Next year will see the Norfolk & Norwich Festival under the instruction of a new director in the form of William Galinsky,
motorhome insurance customers have been told.
He has already had an input in the Cork Midsummer Festival, while his background in theatre is also expected to prove an asset in this new role.
Commenting following his appointment, Mr Galinsky said: "The history and geography of this stunning part of the world present extraordinary possibilities for a festival that I fully intend to make the most of in the coming years."
Chairman of the board of directors at Norfolk & Norwich Festival Caroline Jarrold also expressed her delight at the decision, saying that his "outstanding talent" and ambition would prove an asset.
People in the East Anglia region were recently invited to enjoy a number of pantomimes taking place in Cambridge, including Snow White on Ice at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
