Motorhome insurance policyholders should visit markets when heading to Hamburg, it has been recommended.
Stefanie Raudschus, new media executive at the German National Tourist Office, said the Christmas markets are particularly popular, although there are many others to visit as well.
"Christmas markets are very popular, but it is really nice for summer as well – you have got the harbour and shopping. We have seven Christmas markets in Hamburg," she explained.
Ms Raudschus advised tourists to go to fish markets when visiting the city, as they take place every morning and have some interesting cuisine for people to try.
SkyScanner revealed last month that Hamburg was a new entry in the top 100 list of flight trends, ranking at number 96.
Berlin polled at number 24, while Munich was slightly lower down the list in 44th place.
Frankfurt and Dusseldorf were the other two areas of Germany to feature in the run-down.
