Longnor Wood Camping Park, near Buxton

Review submitted by Matt Vause from Sheffield

Why I love The Croft

Longnor Wood is a great little “adults only” campsite in the heart of the Peak National Park. The park is quiet, secluded and hidden from any road.

We are surrounded by woodland belonging to the Peak National Park and farmland and are perfectly situated for many lovely country walks.

It has a touring caravan area as well as static and camping fields.

It’s within easy reach of Buxton, Derby, Manchester, Sheffield and Alton Towers.

Longnor village itself is a pleasant 10mins stroll down (all hills so abit longer coming home!) the road, there you’ll find 4 pubs all serving good quality food and one of the best ‘chippy’s I’ve ever eaten.

Opening times

1st March to 10th January.
