A comedian has described the influence that buying a caravan has had on him and claimed it is the main influence behind his new show.

Jeff Green, a comic who has appeared on the likes of Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Have I Got News For You, is currently on tour with his new stand-up called Life-Ache.

He has explained that buying a caravan, which will require caravan insurance, changed his whole outlook on life.

"Life-Ache was inspired by my purchase of a caravan. My wife put her foot down and said, 'I'm not going to Glastonbury unless we have a caravan'. So I bought one on eBay, as you do," he said.

"We liked the caravan so much, we kept it after the festival, and it's now in storage in Reading. Having the caravan prompted a sense that my life is changing inexorably."

The Jeff Green Life-Ache 2008 UK tour is set to call all around the country, with dates at Birmingham, Derby and Gloucester scheduled for next week.
